Here are some exclusive quotes from her interview with Seventeen Magazine: "A lot of times what we as girls do, when something goes wrong, we automatically have a tendency to think that it's us. That it's something we're doing wrong when it's the guy's issue. It's something that I used to have a huge problem with but I've had to work on that and learn it through the years. I don't think there's anything wrong with therapy or counseling. I am a huge advocate of that. It's helped me leaps and bounds." "You have to have a certain personality type for every job you do. I don't wish my life upon every girl because I don't think a lot of girls could handle it. Being on tour with all guys and going through the life I've been through for the last five years, I don't think that's meant for everyone. I've been able to tough it through but I definitely have to find a balance in that and it's a challenge." "I've never been scared of being the leader and doing things first -- or wearing that new style first. As a teen, I was always into different things. One year I was in beach girl mode. Other years I was into the more Mexican-American low-riding chola thing. I got into the reggae scene a little bit. I got into hip hop. I've definitely experienced life. I still am." |
